The University of Rochester's Spanish and Latin Students Association (SALSA) will host its 14th annual Tropicana 2001 event. The event celebrates Spanish and Latin culture and includes a dinner and dance.

The dinner will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 20, in Hirst Lounge in Wilson Commons on the River Campus and will include a live mariachi performance. Following the dinner will be a dance at 10 p.m. in Douglass Dining Center, featuring live entertainment by La Banda Loca.

Admission is $10 for the dinner and $15 for the dinner/dance for students, and $12 for the dinner and $20 for the dinner/dance for non-students. Tickets are available to University students at the Common Market in Wilson Commons or by contacting SALSA at (585) 275-9374. SALSA invites outside organizations to attend; however, outside groups have to contact SALSA in advance to be added to the guest list.
