Two University of Rochester alumnae return to campus next month to present one-woman shows exploring the complications that arise in exploring family histories. Kali Quinn '03 and Aadika Singh '05 will perform two theatre pieces, Vamping and The Paper Project, at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9, and Saturday, Feb. 10, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Feb. 11, in Todd Theatre on the University's River Campus.

Vamping is a solo performance by Quinn of five characters all connected to a 91-year-old woman struggling with dementia. Quinn has performed and taught theatre throughout the United States and Brazil after attending the Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre. She holds a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Rochester.

The Paper Project is Singh's presentation of the attempt of an individual to situate herself or himself within complicated family histories. Singh is currently working with Kari Margolis of the Margolis Brown Company. She received a bachelor's degree from the University of Rochester in film and media studies.

The show is presented locally by the University of Rochester International Theatre Program and by GUTWorks, a nonprofit theatre company founded in Brooklyn. Quinn is one of the founding artistic directors of GUTWorks.

Tickets for Vamping and The Paper Project are $10 for the general public, $6 for University of Rochester students, and $8 for senior citizens and University of Rochester faculty, staff, and alumni. They will be sold at the door before each performance. There will also be a discussion following every show. For more information, contact (585) 275-4959.
