The exhibition of selected works by Chiarenza includes images taken from two recent books, The Peace Warriors of 2003 and Solitudes, an expression of his response to current world events. Also on display will be a collection of four-by-five-inch Polaroid prints that are derived from his signature black-and-white gelatin silver prints.

Chiarenza is also coming out with a new book, Interaction: Verbal/Visual, which is due out in February. This work is Chiarenza's senior thesis of a half-century ago and is limited to 250 signed copies.

Chiarenza is artist-in-residence and Fanny Knapp Allen Professor Emeritus of Art History at the University of Rochester. He taught at Rochester from 1986 to 1998.
