Tuition Rates for 1996-97 Set at University of Rochester

The term bill for most students at the University of Rochester will increase by 4.3 percent next year.

Tuition in 1996-97 will be $19,630, an increase of 4.8 percent. The average room and board cost will be $6,930, a 3 percent increase.

The tuition increase is the smallest percentage increase at the University in more than two decades.

Tuition for Simon School students will be $21,240, a 6.5 percent increase; for Eastman School students, $17,850, a 5 percent increase; and for medical students at the School of Medicine and Dentistry, $23,800, a 4.9 percent increase.
