Tuition Rates for 1997-98 Set at University of Rochester

The term bill for most students at the University of Rochester will increase by 4.3 percent next year.

Tuition in 1997-98 will be $20,540, an increase of 4.6 percent. The average room and board cost will be $7,160, a 3.3 percent increase.

The tuition increase is the smallest percentage increase at the University in more than two decades.

Tuition for Simon School students will be $22,620, a 6.5 percent increase; for Eastman School students, $18,700, a 4.8 percent increase; and for medical students at the School of Medicine and Dentistry, $24,950, a 4.8 percent increase.
