The University of Rochester's Department of Music will sponsor a concert by the Symphony Orchestra. This event will be directed by David Harman, professor of music and director of orchestral activities at the University of Rochester and conductor and music director of the Rochester Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.
The Symphony Orchestra has 100 members and presents four concerts each year. In 2005, the Orchestra celebrated its 50th season. Harman is a professor of music and director of orchestral activities at the University of Rochester, as well as the music director of the Penfield Symphony Orchestra. He is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music.
