DATE, TIME, AND PLACE: Thursday, Sept. 24 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Gowen Room, Wilson Commons, River Campus, University of Rochester
WHAT: Three local health care experts will weigh in on legislation currently under review in Washington for reforming the U.S. medical care delivery system. The panelists are:
- Steve Goldstein, vice president of the University of Rochester Medical Center, president and chief executive officer of Strong Memorial Hospital and Highland Hospital
- Theodore Brown, professor of history, community and preventative medicine and medical humanities at the University of Rochester
- Jim Fatula, chair and associate professor of public administration at the State University of New York at Brockport
Panelists will each be given 10 minutes for opening remarks. The remaining time will be devoted to answering questions from other panelists as well as the audience.
The panel discussion is sponsored by R World R Vote, a non-partisan student-run initiative focused on political engagement and student activism.
