WHAT: "An Intimate Evening of Contemporary Dance and Rhythm Tap Dance with The Bill Evans Dance Company", presented by the Program of Movement and Dance at the University of Rochester.

TIME, DATE, PLACE: 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, at the Spurrier Dance Studio on the River Campus. Tickets cost $5 for students and $7 for the general public.

DETAILS: The performance includes modern dance and rhythm tap dance routines performed by Rochester-based Bill Evans and the Bill Evans Dance Company.

The presentation is part of the Program of Movement and Dance's Performing Artist Series, which features lecture-demonstrations, workshops, and performances by internationally and nationally acclaimed artists and educators who share their passion for the arts with the University and the surrounding community.

Bill Evans was the artistic director of the Bill Evans Dance Company for 30 years. The company performed in all 50 states as well as many other countries and was the most-booked company in this country for several years under the Dance Touring and Artist-in-the-Schools Programs of the National Endowment for the Arts. It is now reassembled on a project basis for performances in the Rochester area.

PARKING: After 7 p.m., visitors to River Campus can park for free.
