The University of Rochester's Center for Emerging and Innovative Sciences (CEIS) will host its annual Technology Showcase on the afternoon of Thursday, Feb. 25.

The half-day event consists of presentations by University researchers highlighting their research, and industry and government representatives outlining their needs and the resources they have available for researchers. University technology licensing representatives also will be present to describe promising technologies available for licensing. The overall program mixes these presentations with demonstrations from more than 30 exhibitors, poster presentations by students from local universities, and breaks for networking intended to spark the next round of fruitful collaborations between academia, industry, and government.

Headquartered at the University of Rochester, CEIS is funded by the New York State Foundation for Science, Technology and Innovation (NYSTAR) through its Center for Advanced Technology program. It draws participation from a number of additional universities including the Rochester Institute of Technology, Cornell University, the University of Buffalo, and Columbia University – several of which will participate in the forum as well. The event will be held at the Hyatt Regency Rochester from 2 to 5:30 p.m.
