WHAT: The University of Rochester's Brass Choir will perform the second annual "Spooktacular" concert. This year's theme is METALWORKS — a concert of classic hard rock and heavy metal songs re-purposed for trumpets, horns, trombones, euphoniums, and tubas. The concert will include the devilish sounds of Megadeth, Twisted Sister, Deep Purple, and Led Zeppelin.

TIME, DATE, PLACE: 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at Strong Auditorium on the University of Rochester's River Campus. This concert is free and open to the public. No tickets are required.

Attendees are invited to come in costume, as many of the musicians will be dressed for Halloween.

PARKING: After 7 p.m., visitors to the River Campus can park for free in most lots.

ABOUT THE BRASS CHOIR: The UR Brass Choir is a 45-member ensemble made up of undergraduate and graduate students as well as alumni representing almost every division of the University of Rochester, including the Hajim School of Engineering and the Eastman School of Music. The ensemble is dedicated to crafting music performances that are a bit out of the ordinary.
