WHAT: The University of Rochester's Brass Choir will perform its third annual "Spooktacular" concert of eerie-inspired compositions repurposed for the trumpets, horns, trombones, euphoniums, and tubas. The ensemble will evoke a monster-themed evening with songs that include "Godzilla" by Blue Oyster Cult, "Frankenstein" by Edgar Winter; and "Poker Face," by Lady Gaga.

Attendees are invited to come in costume, as many of the musicians will be dressed for Halloween.

TIME, DATE, PLACE: 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, at Strong Auditorium on the University of Rochester's River Campus. This concert is free and open to the public. No tickets are required.
