Ronald J. Paprocki has been named senior vice president for administration and finance and chief financial officer for the University of Rochester, effective July 1.

The title reflects his responsibility for most of the University's central administrative functions as well as his duties as chief financial officer. He now oversees the offices and departments of finance, budget, audit, bursar, facilities, purchasing and auxiliary services, research and project administration (ORPA), and human resources, as well as the gift office.

Paprocki also serves as treasurer of the University.

"Ron is key to the administrative and financial affairs of the University, not only 'centrally' but also in terms of coordinating the activities of the various divisions in accordance with University-wide policies, regulations, and strategies," said President Thomas H. Jackson. "His contributions to the University to date have been very significant, and his future role will be even more important."

Paprocki, who earned both a bachelor's degree (Phi Beta Kappa) and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Rochester, worked in budgeting and planning for the College before joining the central administration in 1986 as director of budgets and financial planning. He became vice president for budgets and financial planning in 1992, and senior vice president for financial affairs and planning in 1998.
