The Black Students' Union at the University of Rochester will present Pan-African Expo 2003 at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, in Strong Auditorium on the River Campus.

The program celebrates the heritage and culture of people of African descent through song, short plays, and dance performed by students. Highlights include historical scenes in African-American history from the early 19th through the 21st centuries, looking at African royalty who reigned in Ashanti, Mali and Ghana, the civil rights era, the rise of Motown, and contemporary hip hop.

Admission to Pan-African Expo 2003 is $10 for the general public and $3 for University of Rochester students, faculty, and staff with ID.
