The University of Rochester Board of Trustees elected three new trustees at its May meeting.

Carol "John" A. Davidson

Carol "John" A. Davidson is retired senior vice president, controller, and chief accounting officer of Tyco International. Before joining Tyco in 2004, Davidson held various senior financial, accounting, and auditing positions with Dell and the Eastman Kodak Company. Following his retirement from Tyco International in September 2012, Davidson became a director of Pentair Inc., which merged with the flow control business that was spun off from Tyco.

He is on the boards of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, DaVita Inc., the Financial Accounting Foundation, and St. John Fisher College. He received an MBA in 1988 from the Simon School of Business and currently serves on its Executive Advisory Committee and the Simon Campaign Committee.

In 2011, he received the Simon School's Distinguished Alumnus Award, which recognized his exceptional professional achievements, contributions to his field, and service to the school.

Sandra A. Parker

Sandra A. Parker has been president and CEO of the Rochester Business Alliance (RBA) since 2005, coming to this role from her work as president and CEO of the Industrial Management Council.

Instrumental in establishing the RBA as the region's "voice of business," she was recognized in 2006 for her leadership in the Fair Share Coalition, which was formed to seek parity in state aid for Rochester. That initiative grew into the Rochester Community Coalition, which brings together business, labor, local government, education, faith organizations, and nonprofit organizations to seek state investment in projects that will create long-term jobs and boost the regional economy. She is also a member of the Finger Lakes Regional Economic Development Council.

Parker's board service includes the Center for Governmental Research, High Technology of Rochester, Rochester Institute of Technology, and the Rochester Regional Health Information Organization. A native of Rochester, she received the 2002 ATHENA Award, given each year to a woman for outstanding contributions to business and community. Parker has made a generous commitment as part of The Meliora Challenge: The Campaign for the University of Rochester to support the new Raymond F. LeChase Hall and the Eastman School of Music.

Timothy C. Wentworth

Timothy C. Wentworth is senior vice president and president of sales and account management for Express Scripts in St. Louis. Before assuming this role, he held executive positions at Medco Health Solutions, Inc., which merged with Express Scripts in 2012, and at Mary Kay and PepsiCo.

Rochester natives, Wentworth and his wife, Robin, attended Monroe Community College before relocating to Cornell University, where Tim received a degree in industrial and labor relations. In 2010, the Wentworths established the Wentworth Family Endowed Scholarship for students transferring from a community or junior college.

Wentworth Atrium in Raymond F. LeChase Hall recognizes the Wentworths for their significant gift last year to the Warner School of Education as part of The Meliora Challenge campaign. Parents of both a 2011 University graduate and current student (2016), they are members of the Parents Council and are co-chairs of the executive committee, and members of the Parents Initiative in the Campaign Cabinet.They are also members of the Northern New Jersey Regional Cabinet.

Davidson and his wife, Michele Davidson, Parker and her husband, John "Dutch" Summers, and the Wentworths are members of the George Eastman Circle, the University's leadership annual giving society.
