The Mt. Hope Family Center has received a $5,000 grant from the Dorothea Haus Ross Foundation to furnish and equip a child therapy room at the Center.

Mt. Hope Family Center will use the room to help parents improve parenting skills and relationships with their children. Parents and children work and play together in the treatment room for one or two hours at a time, as Center staff observe and show the parents how to improve interactions with their children.

The Dorothea Haus Ross Foundation, based in Rochester, offers grants ranging up to $5,000 for programs that offer health care or social services to children.
