Santa Casciani, assistant professor of Italian and director of the Bishop Pilla Program in Italian American Studies at John Carroll University, will present a lecture titled "Images of Italian Americans: Media and Literature" at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 12, in the Gowen Room of Wilson Commons on the University of Rochester River Campus.

Casciani has taught courses on Dante, Italian, and Italian-American literature. Her scholarly interests include the works of Dante, the Italian Renaissance, popular preaching in the middle ages, Italian-American narrative, and applied linguistics.
