As part of the Dance Program's Performing Arts Series, Freefall (ltd), a New York-based dance group, will be coming to the University of Rochester on Saturday, March 18, for an 8 p.m. show.

The audience will be entertained by Freefall's creation of dynamic, theatrical dance vocabulary and emotionally challenging themes. The Toronto Globe and Mail writes that Freefall provides "exquisite choreography, skillfully executed to produce visually stunning displays wrought with tension."

Freefall (ltd) is headed by Lynn Brown and Lynn Marie Ruse. Ruse and Brown are Lincoln Center Teaching Artists in Dance. Ruse also is an adjunct at SUNY Stony Brook.

Freefall's work has been performed at Dance Theater Workshop, University Settlement, The Fringe of Toronto Theater Festival, The Florida Dance Festival, and Miami's Florida/Brazil Festival.

In addition to Freefall, the Performing Artist Series will host Turkish composer Latif Bolat on Friday, April 7; and musician/performance artist Robert Een, who has composed for film, dance, and theater, on Saturday, April 15. The cost for a series subscription is $20, but admission to one event is $7. For more information, call the Dance Program at 273-5150.
