TIME, DATE, PLACE:<\/b>\u00a01:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, at the University of Rochester’s Mt. Hope Family Center, 187 Edinburgh Street, Rochester<\/p>\n

WHAT:<\/b>\u00a0In conjunction with a visit by Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks, psychologists and therapists will showcase the research and clinical therapies that have made Mt. Hope Family Center a national leader in the prevention and treatment of child abuse. For example, the Center has developed one of the most promising treatments known for child abuse, reducing the number of children placed in foster care or with relatives and attracting attention from child trauma prevention and treatment centers nationwide.<\/p>\n

Below is the agenda for the afternoon’s sessions:<\/p>\n

1:30 \u2013 1:45<\/b>\u00a0Sheree Toth, executive director, and Jody Todd Manly, clinical director, present an overview of the history and current services provided by Center.<\/p>\n

1:45 \u2013 2:00<\/b>\u00a0Tasia Verno, coordinator of the PATHS program, leads a visit with children attending the therapeutic afterschool program.<\/p>\n

2:05 \u2013 2:20<\/b>\u00a0Mothers in the Building Healthy Children program will discuss their participation and program coordinator Robin Sturm will give an overview of the support program.<\/p>\n

2:20 \u2013 2:30<\/b>\u00a0Sheree Toth and Jody Todd Manly conclude and answer questions.<\/p>\n
