(University of Rochester photo \/ Office of College Enrollment)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Cameron Morgan \u201919 (T5) and doctoral student Clara Auclair are the University\u2019s 2019 Student Employees of the Year. They were honored April 16 in a ceremony at Rush Rhees Library.<\/p>\n<p>The awards are sponsored by the Student Employment Office and announced during National Student Employment Week. The winners are chosen by a committee of nomination readers representing departments across the University. Eligible students \u00a0must have worked at least six months during 2018 and are judged on reliability, quality of work, initiative, and professionalism.<\/p>\n<p>Morgan, a dual major in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sas.rochester.edu\/lin\/\">linguistics<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sas.rochester.edu\/bcs\/\">brain and cognitive sciences<\/a> from Medina, New York, is a speaking fellow in the <a href=\"https:\/\/writing.rochester.edu\/\">Writing, Speaking, and Argument Program<\/a> and also serves as president. He works with students one-on-one in tutoring sessions to help them improve their public speaking, supervises the work of his fellow tutors, leads staff meetings, and sets the schedule.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s always on top of things and has become someone I truly rely on, almost as a partner, in running the center,\u201d says Writing, Speaking, and Argument assistant professor Amy Arbogast, who nominated Morgan.<\/p>\n<p>Auclair is a native of Metz, France, and works as a graduate digitization specialist in the <a href=\"https:\/\/dslab.lib.rochester.edu\/\">Digital Scholarship Lab<\/a> at River Campus Libraries, creating digital assets for scholarship, preservation, and the institutional repository. She is a fourth-year student in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sas.rochester.edu\/vcs\/\">Visual and Cultural Studies doctoral program<\/a> and a graduate of the L. Jeffrey Selznick School for Film Preservation at the George Eastman Museum in Rochester. She received her bachelor\u2019s degree in film studies and French literature and her master\u2019s in film history and aesthetics from Paris Diderot University.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cClara\u2019s dependability and professional allow the lab to function continuously, even when full-time staff are not present,\u201d says Lisa Wright, the library\u2019s digital scholarship digitization specialist, who nominated Auclair. \u201cWhether working with fellow graduate students or training faculty and staff, Clara provides patient instruction, guidance, and
