Mitch Lovett<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Mitch Lovett<\/a>, senior associate dean of education and innovation and the Benjamin Forman Professor of Marketing at Simon Business School<\/a>, has been named the school\u2019s interim dean.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lovett joined the Simon Business School faculty in 2008 after earning a PhD in marketing from Duke University and has since established himself as a leading scholar and educator.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In his administrative role, Lovett has played a pivotal part in launching the school\u2019s AI Initiative, a crossdisciplinary effort to integrate artificial intelligence into business education. He also contributed to the development and launch of the full-time MS in Artificial Intelligence in Business<\/a> and the Online MS in Business Analytics and Applied AI<\/a>\u2014both forward-thinking programs designed to prepare students for careers in an increasingly data- and AI-driven economy.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMitch Lovett is an exceptional academic leader who brings deep expertise in both scholarship and innovation in business education,\u201d says Nicole Sampson, University of Rochester<\/a> provost and chief academic officer. \u201cHis vision and dedication will be invaluable during this transition as Simon continues to build on its strengths and embrace the future of business.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lovett\u2019s research spans a broad range of marketing topics including advertising, branding, word-of-mouth, political marketing, consumer learning, and more. His work has been published in top academic journals and has earned him recognition from the Marketing Science Institute, as well as a finalist nod for the William F. O’Dell Award. His research has also been featured in prominent media outlets such as The New York Times<\/em>, Forbes<\/em>, and Ad Age<\/em>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am honored to serve as interim dean of the Simon Business School and to move forward on its academic and strategic vision,\u201d says Lovett. \u201cI look forward to working in close partnership with our faculty, staff, students, and alumni to advance Simon\u2019s mission and ensure its continued impact\u2014ever better.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lovett is also a dedicated mentor to PhD students and an award-winning instructor, teaching courses in marketing research, analytics, and strategy.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
