Anthony Kinslow<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Anthony Kinslow, a 20-year human resources professional, has been named associate vice president for human resources. He will join the University in March and succeeds Chuck Murphy, who retired on Feb. 2 after 17 years at the University. Kinslow\u2019s duties will encompass human resources programs and services for every division of the University.<\/p>\n

\u201cTony is a respected leader in all areas of human resources and has broad management experience in academic and health care systems,\u201d said Ron Paprocki, University senior vice president for administration and finance and CFO. \u201cHe has a clear understanding of the diverse needs of our 23,000-employee community, and is recognized for his innovation in enhancing organizational effectiveness and for his collaborative style.\u201d<\/p>\n

Throughout his two decades of human resources experience, Kinslow has held leadership positions at the Cleveland Clinic and Vanderbilt University, as well as at the Sisters of Mercy Health System in St. Louis as vice president, chief human resources officer and diversity and inclusion leader; at Case Western Reserve University as vice president for human resources and diversity; and at the California Institute of Technology as director of human resources.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am delighted that Tony will be joining the University as our chief human resources officer,\u201d said President Joel Seligman. \u201cWe will benefit from the breadth of his experience and his proven leadership ability. Tony has succeeded to an extraordinary degree in human resources at leading institutions such as the Cleveland Clinic and Case Western. I look forward to working with him in all aspects of the human resources area, which is so vital to our faculty and staff.\u201d<\/p>\n

He has been actively involved in the communities where he has lived and worked, including serving on the boards of organizations such as the United Black Fund of Greater Cleveland, the Metropolitan St. Louis Area Urban League, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.<\/p>\n

Kinslow is a retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force Air National Guard. He received his bachelor\u2019s degree in economics from California State University, Sacramento; master\u2019s degree in international relations from the University of Southern California; and J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law.<\/p>\n
