In that role, he led the University\u2019s global strategy, <span style=\"font-size: 1.25rem;\">strengthening international research partnerships, faculty ex<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1.25rem;\">change, global learning, student mobility, and support for international students. Prior to this appointment, he served as <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1.25rem;\">Assistant Vice Provost for International Services and Support<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1.25rem;\"> at the University of Rochester.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-4976\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/office-global-engagement\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/2020-01-10_Ravi_Shankar_053-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Ravi Shankar headshot\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/office-global-engagement\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/2020-01-10_Ravi_Shankar_053-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/office-global-engagement\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/2020-01-10_Ravi_Shankar_053-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/office-global-engagement\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/2020-01-10_Ravi_Shankar_053-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/office-global-engagement\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/2020-01-10_Ravi_Shankar_053.jpg 1440w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1.25rem;\">Before joining the University, Ravi was <\/span>Director of International Student and Scholar Services at Northwestern University<span style=\"font-size: 1.25rem;\">, where he contributed to senior-level global initiatives.
