Review the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.urmc.rochester.edu\/community-health\/connect-partner\/guiding-principles\"><strong>Guiding Principles of Community-Engaged Research<\/strong><\/a>. The principles were developed in 2008 by the University of Rochester Medical Center\u2019s Community Advisory Council. Researchers engaged in CBPR are strongly encouraged to participate in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.urmc.rochester.edu\/clinical-translational-science-institute\/education\/cbpr-training\"><strong>CTSI\u2019s CBPR Training Program<\/strong><\/a> to build essential skills and foster meaningful community partnerships.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Community-based participatory research (CBPR) is a historic strength of the URMC and is a critical tool for the improvement of translational research and population health.
