{"id":586,"date":"2023-12-22T12:58:43","date_gmt":"2023-12-22T17:58:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/ohsp\/?page_id=586"},"modified":"2025-02-25T15:44:59","modified_gmt":"2025-02-25T20:44:59","slug":"training-research-personnel","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/ohsp\/training\/training-research-personnel\/","title":{"rendered":"Guideline for Training Research Personnel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In accordance with federal regulation and guidance, <a class=\"u-link-pdf\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/ohsp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Policy_901_Investigator_Responsibilities.pdf\">OHSP Policy 901: Investigator Responsibilities<\/a> states that <strong>it is the responsibility of the Principal Investigator (PI) to oversee the conduct of all research activities, <\/strong>including the training and education of research staff.<\/p>\n<p>Regulatory authorities and OHSP policy further recognize that PI&#8217;s may delegate training-related activities to other appropriately experienced and capable staff, based on department\/division resources and infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this guideline is to assist PIs, study staff and other leadership in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Navigating <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/ohsp\/training\/training-research-personnel\/#basictraining\">training-related requirements<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Identifying<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/ohsp\/training\/training-research-personnel\/#bestpractices\"> best practices<\/a> for onboarding and training personnel engaged in human subject research<\/li>\n<li>Identifying <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/ohsp\/training\/training-research-personnel\/#ohspresources\">OHSP training resources<\/a>, as well as other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/ohsp\/training\/training-research-personnel\/#additional\">additional training resources<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In accordance with federal regulation and guidance, OHSP Policy 901: Investigator Responsibilities states that it is the responsibility of the Principal Investigator (PI) to oversee the conduct of all research&hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":36,"featured_media":0,"parent":546,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-586","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.1.1 -
