{"id":606,"date":"2023-12-22T12:59:22","date_gmt":"2023-12-22T17:59:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/ohsp\/?page_id=606"},"modified":"2025-02-28T15:16:27","modified_gmt":"2025-02-28T20:16:27","slug":"framework","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/ohsp\/training\/framework\/","title":{"rendered":"Framework"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Office for Human Subject Protection (OHSP) Division of Research Education &amp; Training has developed online training courses, collectively referred to as the OHSP Training Framework, to aid in the professional development of faculty and staff conducting human subject research. These courses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Were developed in collaboration with other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/ohsp\/hrpp\/\">University of Rochester Human Research Protection Program (UR-HRPP<\/a>) leadership;<\/li>\n<li>Build on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/ohsp\/training\/required-human-subject-protection-training\/\">Human Subject Protection (HSP) training<\/a> content; and<\/li>\n<li>Provide a structure of tiered training for research personnel to utilize as needed (e.g., for onboarding and\/or remedial training).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>OHSP has not set forth broad course completion requirements related to these courses. Rather, faculty and staff should self-assess their competence and complete training accordingly. Department\/Division leadership and\/or Principal Investigators (PI) may also use these courses to support their training and onboarding needs.<\/p>\n<p>A description of training framework components is provided below.
