Celebrating Meliora Weekend

Rob Clark Named 10th University Provost

Rob Clark, senior vice president for research and dean of the Hajim School of Engineering & Applied Sciences, has been named the University’s 10th provost. Clark’s five-year term as provost has been approved by the Board of Trustees and begins on July 1, 2016. He succeeds Peter Lennie, who will step down as provost in June 2016. Clark will serve in dual roles as provost and senior vice president for research.

Students Admitted to Arts Leadership Program at Eastman

Fifteen Eastman students were recently admitted to the Catherine Filene Shouse Arts Leadership Program. The program includes courses, internships, and special grants that equip music students with the skills and experience necessary for a transition into the world of the professional musician. Outstanding Balances Due

The Bursar’s office is reminding students that all past due balances must be paid in order to register for spring 2016. Currently enrolled students with a past due balance of more than $5,000 are subject to cancellation of their registration for the current semester, which would result in withdrawal from the University unless acceptable arrangements are promptly made. Goergen Awards Honor Excellence in Teaching

In acknowledgement of their contributions to undergraduate education, professors John Kessler, Deborah Rossen-Knill, and Andrew Elliot were honored with the College's 2015 Goergen Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching. Live Streaming Offered for Eastman Student Degree Recitals

Student degree recitals in Kilbourn Hall and Hatch Recital Hall at the Eastman School can now be streamed live, upon request. The free, private streams are intended for family and friends who are unable to attend the recital in person. Students can arrange for the stream as part of the process to request audio or video recordings of recitals. Once details have been confirmed with the student, the link to the streaming page and the password will be emailed to students for them to share privately. The information must not be publicly advertised on any social networks or websites. Eastman School's Technology and Media Production department, which coordinates the service, welcomes feedback. Zipcar: Wheels When They Want Them

Zipcar is a car-sharing service with vehicles on and off campus. Students may reserve cars by the hour or the day, with gas and insurance included. Contact or to receive a promotional code for a $15 joining fee and $15 driving credit.
