Electric Car Charging

There are four ChargePoint electric vehicle (EV) charging stations on campus. They are located at:

  • Lot 15 – Helen Wood Hall (HWH) Lot, 255 Crittenden Blvd, off Castelman Rd.
  • Lot 13 – Hospital Garage, 110 Crittenden Blvd.
  • College Town Garage, 655 Elmwood Ave.
  • Goergen Athletic Center, 730 Library Rd.

The charging stations are open to the public. Users must have a ChargePoint account to use them. The stations will be available for the duration of a charge, which is on average two hours long. Both stations are Level Two stations, meaning they are 240V and will charge a fully depleted battery in three to six hours. Once a vehicle finishes charging, the ChargePoint app will notify you and you must move your EV to a regular spot.

Other local charging stations in the area can be located on EV charging station maps:

E-Scooter Policy

University policy prohibits electric scooters on campuses. The electric vehicles may be used to travel to and from campus, however, they may not operate on University campuses for the safety of riders and pedestrians. They must be parked at designated dismount zones on the campus perimeter.
