Warner School Finds New Lessons in Technology
The Warner School is helping teachers be more technology savvy and integrate
that knowledge into the classroom.
Using a $725,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Education, Warner professors
are helping teachers tap into the latest technology and instruct children how
to use computers and other equipment.
"Future teachers must experience using technology as learners themselves
and practice using it as teachers," said Raffaella Borasi, dean of the
Warner School. "If student learning and achievement are essential to us,
then we must take the necessary steps to prepare a new generation of technology-proficient
teachers."
The Warner School will partner with area schools to offer initiatives for training
and demonstration sites to showcase technology-intensive learning.
