“I
live five minutes away from here, but I really can’t go home
often. There’s no time. All my friends say, ‘What are
you complaining about? Your house is right around the corner.’
But you really get engulfed in school life. I’m on the Black
Students Union advisory board, the Society for Professional Engineers
executive board, and then committees and groups and schoolwork—I
can’t go home. I might go home on a Sunday and have dinner
with my mom, but I come right back.” |
