2000

Jayme and Shannon Baker Hiratzka send a photo announcing the birth of their first child, Natalie Janet, born on February 18, 2007. Jayme is finishing his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Oregon Health & Science University. Shannon works as the State of Oregon’s tuberculosis epidemiologist. . . . Marissa Scalia announces her engagement to Philippe Sucosky of Nice, France. She writes, “The proposal took place this past August (2006) in Aix-en-Provence, France. (Yes, I am very late in announcing.)” They live in Atlanta, where Philippe is a postdoctoral researcher in the biomedical engineering department at Georgia Tech. Marissa earned her master’s in public health from Emory University in 2003 and is now a fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where she works with the Air Pollution and Respiratory Health branch of the National Center for Environmental Health. Their wedding is planned for March 2008.

2001

Cara Mia Chan ’04N sends a photo announcing her engagement to James August Konzel of Rochester. (The photo was taken “the day he asked me to marry him.”) A June 2008 wedding is planned. Cara is in an accelerated master’s degree program at the School of Nursing and anticipates graduating in May 2008. . . . Brigid Mack sends a photo to announce the birth of her daughter, Isabella Scaringe, born on March 19, 2007. Brigid is a third-year family medicine resident at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Her husband, John, is a stay-at-home dad. . . . Nicole McGee graduated from the University of Illinois in May with a doctor of veterinary medicine degree. . . . Amanda Baldauf Slavik (see ’99).

Rob Gellman ’05M (MS) has been named a fellow at the Chicago Center for Family Health at the University of Chicago. . . Jonathan Lawrence, a graduate student at Harvard, received Roche’s 2007 Excellence in Chemistry Award in recognition of his research and accomplishments in the field of organic chemistry. . . . Matt Moffa and Anne Lyster send a photo from their fall 2006 wedding aboard the Colonial Belle on the Erie Canal near Fairport, N.Y. Jennifer Kim sends a photo to mark the wedding of Eun Jung Huh and Temmy Park, who were married on September 23, 2006, in Livingston, N.J. Alumni in the wedding party included Grace Kong, Elmer Kang, and Jennifer.

2004

Miriam Leiser and Andrew Morris ’05S (MBA) announce their engagement. A summer 2008 wedding is planned. . . . Stephanie Testa writes that she has founded a video production company, One Glass Productions. Based in Brooklyn, the company specializes in short-form video production and digital video services for artists. One Glass Productions recently competed in the NYC 48-Hour Film Project and was chosen to go to the national level in a Visa-sponsored “Life Takes” invitational film competition in September 2007. Other recent work includes a short film based on the Roald Dahl story, “Lamb to the Slaughter,” and a music video by Dawn Landes.

2005

Anne Baker writes to announce her May 2007 graduation from Lesley University in Cambridge, Mass., with a master’s degree in expressive therapy and a concentration in art therapy. She’s looking for a full-time job as a clinician in the Boston area.
