Student Photos Take First Place
GLACIAL EXPERIENCE: Primack’s photo took the top prize for student experience. When Benjamin Primack ’09 and Kendra Lounsberry ’08 came home from studying in New Zealand and Australia, respectively, fall semester, they brought back prize-winning photos.
Primack’s shot of students hiking through the Franz Josef Glacier took top prize in the student experience category of the photo competition held by the Institute for the International Education of Students. Lounsberry’s photo of Sydney’s famed Bondi Beach captured first place for landscapes and landmarks.
For Primack, a biology major, and Lounsberry, a double major in mathematics and philosophy, the experience abroad was unforgettable, even without photos. And Primack has a new hobby. “I always carry my camera now, just in case,” he says.
BEST BEACH: Lounsberry’s photo took the top prize in the Landscapes & Landmarks category.
