In a follow-up to January 5’s update about moving online for the start of the spring semester, Interim Provost Sarah Peyre, URMC CEO Mark Taubman, and President Mangelsdorf provided additional information about how the decision to move online was made, as well as important logistical details for students, faculty, and staff.
“We know that the abrupt nature of the changes we announced yesterday created confusion and difficulty for some of you, and for that we are sorry, but the urgent nature of the change made the timing less than ideal. However, we will do our best to communicate future changes with ample time to adjust and respond… Thank you again for your continued patience and understanding. We know this is very difficult for everyone.”
