The Simon Business School develops business leaders who have an exceptional level of clarity about business and about themselves. This is accomplished through a rigorous, research based, economics focused curriculum that emphasizes data-driven analytical approaches to problem solving.<\/p>\n

Program Learning Objectives<\/h2>\n

Undergraduate Business Program<\/h3>\n

  1. To build on principles of statistics and economics and other social sciences<\/li>\n
  2. To provide students with an understanding of business-related disciplines such as finance, accounting, marketing, operations management, and organizational theory<\/li>\n
  3. To provide students an analytical approach for addressing current as well as future opportunities and problem in either for-profit or not-for-profit organization<\/li>\n
  4. To prepare students for graduate work that will heighted their preparations in specific disciplines<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Analyze complex business problems and develop data-driven solutions<\/li>\n
    2. Gain and apply deep knowledge and skills in key business functions<\/li>\n

      MS in Finance<\/h3>\n

      1. Apply economics and analytics-based knowledge of finance in the areas of accounting, corporate finance, investments, and risk management<\/li>\n

      3. Leverage relevant data science techniques (software, data portals, databases, etc.) to address problems involving financial decision-making<\/li>\n
      4. Communicate effectively concepts and analysis related to finance<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        1. Apply knowledge of financial accounting frameworks (e.g., U.S. GAAP) to accounting reporting situations.<\/li>\n
