Elaine Sia<\/h2>\r\n

Senior Vice Provost for Academic Excellence<\/em><\/h3>","content":"\"ElaineElaine Sia is a professor in the Department of Biology. She was appointed the inaugural senior vice provost for academic excellence at the University of Rochester in January of this year. In this new role, Sia is responsible for advancing the University\u2019s academic mission by working closely with faculty, deans, and other senior leadership to strengthen the quality and impact of the University\u2019s academic programs, research, and student success initiatives.\r\n\r\nThroughout her career, Sia has been recognized for her dedication to teaching and mentorship. She has been described as approachable, supportive, and committed to student success.
