The medal is named for George Eastman, the University\u2019s major benefactor and one of the nation\u2019s great champions of higher education.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"utopia-font\">Submitting a nomination<\/h2>\n<p>Anyone in the University community can put forward a nomination for the George Eastman Medal.
