‘Build and Embrace’ group puts focus on graduate students
The Build and Embrace Community group, a core goal working group formed as part of the University strategic planning process, has made a proposal to strengthen the climate for graduate students.
The proposal includes hiring a Graduate Student Life Coordinator to create, organize, publicize, and oversee cultural and social space and activities open to all graduate students from across the University.
Phase II of their proposal includes creating a University Graduate Center with space for students to meet, socialize, and access resources. The center would build upon the experience and services that exist in the University’s six graduate units, including programs for vulnerable undergraduates, and other centers and programs that provide support and services to graduate students.
