Meet the ‘Vertebrate of the Year’

A long-living, subterranean rodent has been named “Vertebrate of the Year” for 2013 by Science magazine, thanks to the work of Rochester biologists Vera Gorbunova and Andrei Seluanov. The two scientists are exploring why naked mole rats don’t get cancer. Read more . . .
