{"id":1036,"date":"2025-01-16T20:24:32","date_gmt":"2025-01-17T01:24:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/sexualmisconduct\/?page_id=1036"},"modified":"2025-10-29T13:14:53","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T17:14:53","slug":"supportive-measures","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/sexualmisconduct\/title-ix-explained\/supportive-measures\/","title":{"rendered":"Supportive Measures"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Supportive measures under Title IX<\/h3>\n<p>Supportive measures are available to anyone who has come forward about an incident of sexual misconduct or a student who is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/sexualmisconduct\/title-ix-explained\/pregnant-and-parenting-students\/\">pregnant or is experiencing related conditions<\/a>. Individualized supportive measures are available to you regardless of your decision to request an investigation. Supportive measures are non-disciplinary and non-punitive individualized measures that are offered as appropriate, as reasonably available, without unreasonably burdening a Complainant or Respondent, and without fee or charge to the Complainant or Respondent to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Restore or preserve that party\u2019s access to the University\u2019s Education Program or Activity, including measures that are designed to protect the safety of the Parties or the educational environment; or<\/li>\n<li>Provide support during the Grievance Process or an Informal Resolution process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Title IX Office may work with campus partners like Residential Life, Human Resources, or Instructors, to implement appropriate and reasonably available supportive measures. Supportive measures may be requested by the impacted individuals or imposed by the Title IX Office on its own initiative.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Supportive measures may include<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>connection to counseling,<\/li>\n<li>extensions of deadlines or other course-related adjustments,<\/li>\n<li>modifications of work or class schedules,<\/li>\n<li>campus escort services,<\/li>\n<li>issuance of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/college\/cscm\/conduct.html#nco\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">No Contact Orders (NCO) imposing mutual or unilateral restrictions on contact applied to one or more parties<\/a>,<\/li>\n<li>changes in housing locations,<\/li>\n<li>leaves of absence,<\/li>\n<li>educational conversations or trainings,<\/li>\n<li>temporary reassignment of work,<\/li>\n<li>increased security and monitoring of certain areas of the campus, and<\/li>\n<li>other similar adjustments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Supportive measures under Title IX Supportive measures are available to anyone who has come forward about an incident of sexual misconduct or a student who is pregnant or is experiencing&hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":26,"featured_media":0,"parent":836,"menu_order":2,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"page-templates\/one-column.php","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-1036","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
