Its primary responsibility is to oversee, align, and advance the work of the 18 districts and 4 subcommittees so staff priorities are represented effectively to senior leadership. \r\n\r\nThe Communication Committee serves as an advocate for timely, transparent, and effective communication across the University. The committee champions clear and consistent updates about policies, initiatives, and major organizational changes. Its work includes advocating for improved clarity and accessibility of HR resources and strengthening the visibility and support provided by HR Business Partners to staff. In collaboration with University leadership and HR partners, the committee strives to ensure that all staff have access to accurate, actionable information that supports their work and fosters a well-informed and engaged community. This committee oversees fair and\u00a0timely\u00a0elections for district representatives and council officers;\u00a0regularly reviews and updates bylaws, rules, and policies; and manages core operational processes such as membership tracking, meeting schedules, and procedural compliance. It\u00a0maintains\u00a0accurate\u00a0historical records of council activities and decisions, and produces the council\u2019s annual report to document accomplishments, initiatives, and key issues.
