Advancement

Successful Advancement activity is dependent upon a strong strategic plan. Our job within the strategic planning process, with Communications and other stakeholders, is to ensure a meaningful engagement process, test feasibility for various fundraising projects that will emanate from the planning process, develop messaging, and make sure we can effectively support the plan’s objectives.

The Advancement program has a focus on desired strategic planning outcomes directly associated with its specific responsibilities (engagement and philanthropy).

Those key outcomes are:

  • a clear, compelling University strategic narrative,
  • an engagement process for key stakeholder groups,
  • a clear set of institutional and fundraising priorities,
  • a marketing plan, and
  • alignment of strategic plan activity and objectives with advancement strategic plan goals.
