{"id":17166,"date":"2017-10-31T19:30:37","date_gmt":"2017-10-31T19:30:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bferrign.wdev.rochester.edu\/uhs\/?page_id=17166"},"modified":"2021-05-05T19:39:19","modified_gmt":"2021-05-05T19:39:19","slug":"uhsconnect-secure-messaging","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/uhs\/ucc\/uhsconnect-secure-messaging\/","title":{"rendered":"UHSConnect Secure Messaging"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The UHSConnect portal is the only secure way to allow communication between your University Counseling Center (UCC) therapist and you, as well as your University Health Service (UHS) providers.<\/p>\n<p>The UHSConnect portal is used by UCC to request that you fill out the CCAPS form \u2014 a comprehensive initial assessment tool which helps identify symptoms and areas of concern. The CCAPS is also administered at regular intervals throughout your treatment to assess change in psychological symptoms during treatment.<\/p>\n<div class=\"large-12 medium-12\" style=\"padding: 25px; border: 2px solid #8B0000; border-radius: 8px;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>UHSConnect must\u00a0<u>NOT<\/u>\u00a0be used for urgent or life-threatening concerns.<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>If your concern is urgent or life-threatening, call UHS at 585-275-2662, UCC at 585-275-3113, or Public Safety at 585-275-3333 for assistance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2><strong>Instructions for Registering<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uhsconnect.ur.rochester.edu\/\"><strong>https:\/\/uhsconnect.ur.rochester.edu<\/strong><\/a>. If you are manually typing the address into your web browser, be sure to include https:\/\/ at the beginning.<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u201cRegister\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Enter the following information:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>User ID number (You will need this number every time you login to UHSConnect.)\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Students:<\/strong>\u00a0You will use your student ID number (if you have used the PyraMED ID number in the past, that will still be active.)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Non-students:<\/strong>\u00a0You will use the PyraMED ID number. We cannot give you your number by phone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Birthdate (Enter 8 characters: mmddyyyy)<\/li>\n<li>E-Mail (Must match email in UHSConnect system and be all lower case. See\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/uhs\/ucc\/uhsconnect-secure-messaging-2\/\"><strong>UHSConnect FAQ<\/strong><\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Security Question (You choose one question)<\/li>\n<li>Security Question Answer (<strong>Must be at least 6 characters or longer<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>You will receive an email containing a link to set your password for UHSConnect. The link is valid for 20 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the link in the email. Enter the answer to your security question and set your password.<\/li>\n<li>A \u201cPassword Confirmation Successful\u201d message will display. Click on the prompt to login to UHSConnect.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>If you have a problem<\/strong>: Check the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/uhs\/ucc\/uhsconnect-secure-messaging-2\/\"><strong>UHSConnect FAQs<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0or write to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:hhf@uhs.rochester.edu\"><strong>hhf@uhs.rochester.edu<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0for assistance. Please put UHSConnect in the subject line and include specific details of your problem, including type of computer and browser you are using.
