The University Health Service (UHS) provides confidential, high-quality health care services for students, employees, and other members of the University community. The University Health Service offers a wide range of medical services, including treatment for illnesses and injuries, management of ongoing medical problems, and care and advice for health care concerns.<\/p>\n
The University Health Service offers a team-based approach to patient care that is comprehensive, coordinated, and accessible. This team-based approach is called a Patient-Centered Medical Home<\/a>. To provide our patients with high-quality care as efficiently as possible, all full-time students are assigned a physician or nurse practitioner as their primary care provider (PCP). Non-student primary care patients may choose a PCP at University Health Service. Care providers are organized into two patient-centered Medical Home teams, the Blue Team and the Yellow Team. Your PCP will work in collaboration with members of your team to coordinate your care and treatment.<\/p>\n All visits to University Health Service and University Counseling Center are confidential. We will not share any information about the fact or nature of a patient\u2019s visit to the University Health Service or University Counseling Center without the patient\u2019s permission. Notification of others, including parents, friends, and University faculty and administrators, is considered the patient\u2019s responsibility unless the condition is life-threatening and the patient is unable to assume responsibility for informing others. Parental notification and consent will be obtained for patients under age 18 receiving care at UHS, as required by law.
