Who?    What?    When?    Why?    How?

What is changing?

UR Student has been tasked to replace our highly complex, legacy Student Information System (SIS) used for more than 30 years. The need for change has been identified by colleges nationwide along with our returning software partner, Workday. A modern solution is now available to record the University’s student finance, records and registration called UR Student. Read more on the project’s success criteria.

Why the Change?

The University requires a holistic solution that will keep pace with our rapidly evolving needs and provide sustainable support for student success.

Who will implement this change?

A dedicated project team has been assembled representing each of the initial functional areas; Student Finance, Advising, Records and RegistrationExtended team members were selected across the University to provide feedback and assist with testing to ensure the system is designed appropriately.

When will this Happen?

Take a look at our project Timeline.

How will this change impact you?

Instructors, Advisors, Registrars, Program Coordinators and Bursars are some of the roles that will be using the new system to generate class rosters, grade, review student information, place holds and generate billing and financial reports.

This website has been created to serve as your single source of information for status updates, project timeline, and available resources. We will provide opportunities to learn, ask questions and provide input. Content will be updated on a bi-monthly basis, then increase in frequency as the project progresses through the implementation.

Further understanding of our system can be seen through our demonstrations and presentation of  key UR Student concepts.

Design elements will be highlighted in upcoming departmental presentations and public events listed on our Calendar.
