In addition to overseeing the Center\u2019s operations, Dr. Borasi is also overseeing initiatives related to professional learning and is directly involved in supporting Warner\u2019s online initiative, the incubation of the K-12 Digital Consortium, services supporting researchers, and directs the program preparing \u201cdigitally-rich\u201d health professions educators. University of Rochester<\/em><\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Dr. Fredericksen is a pioneer in online education.\u00a0 He has published extensively on a variety of topics related to online teaching and learning in higher education, and he is nationally recognized for this work \u2013 as reflected in his current appointment as President of the Board of Directors for the Online Learning Consortium.\u00a0 In his role as Associate Vice-President for Online Learning for the entire University of Rochester, Dr. Fredericksen provides leadership for all online learning initiatives at our institution.\u00a0 In his role as LiDA Associate Director, Dr. Fredericksen oversees initiatives related to Learning in the Digital Age as it takes place in higher education.\u00a0 He also directs the Warner\u2019s programs preparing online teachers, and teaches core courses in that program as well as programs preparing health professions educators and higher education leaders.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_separator][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243; offset=&#8221;vc_col-lg-2 vc_col-md-2 vc_col-xs-3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;6136&#8243; img_size=&#8221;200&#215;200&#8243; style=&#8221;vc_box_rounded&#8221;][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;3\/4&#8243; offset=&#8221;vc_col-lg-10 vc_col-md-10 vc_col-xs-9&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.warner.rochester.edu\/facultystaff\/who\/miller\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Dave Miller<\/strong><\/a><strong> \u2013 Associate Director for K-12 Education<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><em><a href=\"mailto:dmiller@warner.rochester.edu\">dmiller@warner.rochester.edu<\/a><\/em><br \/>\n<em>Clinical Associate Professor, Warner School of Education, University of Rochester<\/em>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Dr. Miller has a unique background that straddles both business and education, with experiences cross-industry as well as in K-12 and higher education.\u00a0 He has extensive experience in learning management and content development, as well as in organizing and directing high-impact, multi-year projects \u2013 including three past SBIR projects funded by the U.S. Department of Education.\u00a0 He has designed and taught both online and face-to-face graduate and undergraduate courses in education and business, including Warner\u2019s introductory hybrid-online courses in the preparation of online and digitally-rich teachers respectively, and also supported several Warner faculty in their online teaching. Cynthia currently serves in the Center for Professional Development and Education Reform and the Learning in the Digital Age Center to support teachers and coaches in mathematics and technology instruction. She also worked as the director of three research projects focused on developing rural mathematics teachers and coaches, and understanding teachers\u2019 uses of mathematics curriculum. In addition, Cynthia serves as a Warner RSRB Specialist supporting faculty and doctoral students. Her elementary mathematics methods courses challenge students\u2019 conceptions of mathematics and the teaching of mathematics at the elementary level.
