UR Involved Alumni & Parent Volunteer Program
Volunteers take an active role in the admissions process by meeting with prospective students as they make their way through the application experience. They serve as an extension of the admissions counseling staff by recruiting and evaluating prospective students on the University's behalf.
Currently, there are more than 600 URI volunteers in the United States and abroad. They staff college fairs, refer and recruit local high school students, conduct interviews, and speak with prospective students and their families about the opportunities and experiences available at the University of Rochester.
Established in 1999, URI builds on models of earlier alumni admissions programs that began with the Rochester Alumni Admissions Program (RAAP) and is part of the Office of Alumni and Constituent Relations. We work closely with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to develop volunteer opportunities that are beneficial for our members, prospective students and Admissions staff.
If you're interested in becoming a UR Involved member, please check out the links in the left menu for more information and the volunteer applications.
