Award Summary by Department Report (Drill-Thru Cognos)
Purpose
This report lists out the award summary based on the report filter choices made by the end user. The report allows user to further drill-down on department to awards detail report with more data such as budget period, sponsors, principal investigator, award instrument, award account number, etc.
Description
This is a list report with prompt page that allows users to use filters such as:
- Division
- Department
- Department Family
- Award Instrument
- Sponsor Type
- Sponsor Name
- Awards Received Date
- Budget Start Date
The user can then click to finish prompting and execute the report. The report provides high level count of awards and a summary of award direct, indirect, and total dollar amounts by department based on the user's selected filters, then allows users to drill through to award detail report by clicking on 'Department' (hyperlinked shown in blue font) to see a roll-up of dollar amounts at the department, division, and the grand total. This report includes only authorized awards and awards that are 'active', 'completed', 'transferred out', and 'terminated'.
