1960
William Peck (MD), ’01 (HNR) stepped down in 2003 after 14 years as dean and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs at the Washington University School of Medicine. He is founder of the university’s Center for Health Policy and remains its director.

1966
Frank LoGerfo (MD) has been elected to the board of directors of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He is chief of vascular surgery at the medical center.

1972
Former U.S. Surgeon General David Satcher (Res) gave the keynote address at the Diversity 2004 Conference in Rochester last September.

1974
Gerald Strope (MD) joined the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University as a clinical professor in the pediatrics department.

1979
C. Gregory Martin (Res) has been appointed interim president and CEO of Emerson Hospital in Concord, Mass. He also is a member of the hospital’s board of directors. . . . Barry Rosenstein (PhD) (see ’73RC undergraduate).

1986
Paul Bennett (Flw) is vice president of discovery for Neurion Pharmaceuticals. Previously, he was a senior director at Merck Research Laboratories. . . Kenneth Ouriel (Res) (see ’77RC undergraduate).

1987
Kenneth Ouriel (Flw) (see ’77RC undergraduate). . . . Edward Snyder (Pdc) writes, “I was appointed to the Virginia Board of Dentistry by Gov. Mark Warner. My term will last four years.”

1994
Steven Schwid (Res), a neurologist and multiple sclerosis researcher at the Medical Center, received the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s 2004 Lifetime Achievement award.

1996
Corliss Newman (Res) is an internist at Rockwood Clinic in Spokane, Wash.

1997
Philip Purser (Res) is a radiation oncologist at the West Michigan Cancer Center in Kalamazoo. . . . Kelly Zou (PhD) (see ’94RC graduate).

1998
Linda Mathison-Ezieme (MD) (see ’93RC undergraduate). . . . Cyrus Samai (MD) is a pediatric oncologist at the Sibley Heart Center in Atlanta.

2001
Dahari Brooks (Res) (see ’92RC undergraduate). . . . Samuel Frank (Res) (see ’93RC undergraduate).

2002
Andrew Lederman (Res) has joined the Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Mass., as a specialist in weight-loss surgery.

2003
Marian Pereira (PhD) and Damian Guelakis were married on May 22 in Bridgeport, Conn. Marian is a postdoctoral fellow at Rutgers University, and Damian is a salesperson with Guidant, a cardiovascular medical products company.

2004
Heather Florescue ’00RC, (MD) and Matthew Ferrantino (MD) were married on March 20, 2004. They send a photo of alumni who attended. Heather’s father, Leonard Florescue ’67, is on Heather’s right. His brother, Barry Florescue ’66, a University trustee, also attended.
