Horizons at Warner
A United Way-funded program
Horizons at Warner is a six-week summer enrichment program that engages K–8 Rochester City School District students in meaningful and authentic learning experiences. This program creates a unique opportunity for the members of the Warner School of Education to interact with students on the university campus in a non-traditional school setting.
In partnership with the United Way of Greater Rochester, Horizons has been able to grow over the last several years, offering high-quality teaching and tutoring programs, field trips, and unique learning opportunities to city school students that who might not otherwise have access to enrichment programs outside of their school. It is now a year-round program with Saturday tutoring in reading, math, and science activities, and a Lego robotics team.
