The University of Rochester’s 175th Commencement Ceremony marks the conferral of academic degrees for all undergraduate and graduate students. The Commencement Ceremony kicks off a weekend full of events for graduates, their families and friends, faculty, and staff.

Graduates, their families, and friends are invited to grab a bite from local food trucks and take pictures together in front of the UR2025 and MELIORA letter installations.
The all-University Commencement Ceremony is a large outdoor celebration for individuals set to earn a University of Rochester degree. The individual school and department graduation ceremonies offer graduates the opportunity to be individually recognized for earning their particular degree—this is where graduates traditionally walk across a stage and/or have their names read aloud.
