Katharine Schimmer named new associate dean for artistic planning at Eastman

Katharine Schimmer, recently the director of strategic initiatives at the Philadelphia Orchestra and Ensemble Arts, has been named to the newly created position of associate dean for artistic planning at the Eastman School of Music.

Rochester researchers led by Nathaniel Bayer, an assistant professor of pediatrics, have uncovered important strategies that help caregivers and parents of children with medical complexity adapt to the inherent stress in their roles. The study provides a roadmap for developing more effective support programs for these families.
